Hello, everyone! On Monday, we implemented a new text notification system to ensure that everyone receives all important information at the same time. Some people have still not been able to download the Our Church app and many aren’t on Facebook, so this was the best way for us to make sure that everyone within the church received information. If you received a text from 844-871-5421, that is an official number that we will be using to send out occasional text alerts.
This is a partially automated system. You can reply to the messages and you will receive an automated message from the system before it is forwarded to me (Hilary). You can text prayer requests to this number if you want them shared with the church.
If you do not want to receive these text alerts, you can text STOP or OPTOUT to 844-871-5421 at any time to be removed from the list. If you are not currently on the list and you want to receive these messages, there is a form at fbcnewellton.com where you can enter your first and last name and cell phone number to receive these text messages.
Because this system is new, there may be some kinks to work out, so I apologize if it does cause issues for anyone. Your feedback is always appreciated.
